In an effort to expedite APHIS Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) fruits and vegetables import permits request from APHIS, this is a reminder that such requests can be made using APHIS e File: You can access information on https://efile.aphis.usda.gov/s/.
As of February 1, 2021, you can apply for more fruits and vegetables commodities by choosing different process types such as fresh, dried, and frozen, among others. As well, you can renew, amend and cancel your permits that have been issued in APHIS eFile Technical questions can be answered by your Western Overseas representative or you may contact PPQ Permit Services at (301) 851-2046 or plantproducts.permits@usda.gov.
You will still need to use ePermits to apply for other PPQ Form 387 permits (e.g. seeds not for planting. In the future, all PPQ Form 587 permit requests will be available in APHIS eFile.
