April 30, 2024NCBFAA 51st Annual Conference Highlights
We are excited to share some highlights from our recent participation in the National Customs Brokers & Forwarders Association of America’s ( NCBFAA) 51st Annual Conference, held in Fort Lauderdale, FL last week.
At the conference, attended by more than 650 attendees from across the US, we had the opportunity to engage with industry leaders, exchange insights, and explore emerging trends shaping the future of custom brokerage and freight forwarding. Panel discussions delved into current hot topics for our industry, covering a wide array of subjects such as new Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) regulations, the impact of AI on customs and trade compliance, cybersecurity, compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) rules, updates from the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), USDA Organics compliance, Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) updates, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and forced labor, liquidated damage penalties and petitions, CBP Broker Management, and the ACE Portal, among others.
Furthermore, we are pleased to share that Erin Esparza, daughter of Elizabeth Esparza, our Regional Compliance Director, was awarded a prestigious $5000 scholarship and plaque.
The NCBFAA (National Customs Brokers & Forwarders Association of America, Inc.) is a highly respected association within our industry, and their annual conference serves as a vital platform for networking, learning, and collaboration.
